Labels are paid from a prepaid wallet, not a card charge per label. You fund it by card, every purchase draws from the balance, and refunds land back in it when the carrier confirms them — no sooner, because that’s when the money is real.
Deposits go through Stripe checkout — minimum $20, suggested $50. Your deposit credits in full: card processing (2.9% + 30¢, the processor’s exact rate) is its own line on top, at cost, never skimmed out of your balance.
Postage, the small service fee, and any supplemental insurance you add come out as one draw — the number you clicked. No per-label card charges, ever.
Cancel a package label from the order or History within the carrier’s window (unscanned, ~30 days for USPS). The wallet is credited the full original charge — postage, fee, insurance — but only once the carrier confirms the refund, which can take days to a few weeks. Letters are different, and we say it plainly: USPS doesn’t refund First-Class letter postage at all, so a letter’s Cancel button is a blocked state with the reason — not a request that quietly dies.
Transactions group under day headers inside month sections, each month showing its net. Every line names what it was — a deposit, a label with its order, a refund, an adjustment.
A server-side sweep re-checks pending refunds every few hours, so a refund confirms even if you never reopen the panel — and when it does, you get a refund-landed email with the amount and the order.
